WELCOME TO THE HOMEPAGE OF THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF FINLAND IN HONG KONG!

The Consulate General is part of the Finnish Foreign Ministry and is one of the approximately hundred Finnish diplomatic missions scattered throughout the world. The stated mission of the Finnish Foreign Ministry is to contribute to the safety and well-being of Finland and its citizens as well as on a wider scope work towards building a safe and just world.

The Consulate General works to safeguard and promote Finnish economic and commercial interests as well as provide consular and legal services within its operating territory of Hong Kong and Macao. The consulate takes care of e.g. the following tasks:

• Promoting the bilateral relations between Finland and Hong Kong/Macao,
• Facilitating exports and internationalisation of Finnish firms,
• Providing consular and legal services for the Finnish citizens,
• Promoting Finnish culture and spreading information on Finland, and
• Handling of issues related to immigration permits

Taking care of this broad and diverse field of tasks the Consulate has three officials sent from Finland as well as three local employees. Despite of our limited resources all of our staff is committed to make every effort to provide best possible service, for all of our customers.
